What went well:
- We practised filming as a group which gave us some experience before our main production
- We filmed one of the specific shots we wanted of people cartwheeling so that we can practice the editing technique of reversing shots as this in key for our main concept
- We used a range of shots and techniques including the track and dolly, pans, handicam and steady shots
- Filming around Brighton helped us realise that a public external location will not be practical for our concept
What we could have done:
- We should have prepared more for the trip, when we were filming our shots did not have that much link together because we were focusing on practising shots which isn't a bad thing however it means our video lacks narrative
- We should of used Brighton as a chance to practise some lip-syncing shots however we focused on our other shots and ran out of time
Overall the trip was useful to us as a group as we now have some filming experience, we are not going to discount Brighton all together however it is unlikely we will use it as a location mainly due to the fact that members of the public are unpredictable and can get in the way
