We managed to film the opening scene of our music video of the two protagonists meeting, this will cover about the first 20 seconds of the music video. We also got parts of the café scene and parts of the car park scene.
Strengths
- The cast worked well with us and together and looked effective in the footage.
- We got plenty of footage of the opening scene so we will not run out when editing that part together.
- We used our time efficiently to be as productive as possible and get the most footage possible.
- The crab dolly was a useful piece of equipment and allowed us to get some interesting shots and have more movement in our footage, which is fitting for a music video because in the ones we have seen the camera is almost constantly moving.
- The location worked well because it was easy to get to for all the cast and crew but also came out effectively.
- We had an issue with filming all of the café scenes we were supposed to film as we were told we were not allowed to film in the shopping centre. However, we are going to overcome this problem by Josh's mum calling the centre to try and get us permission.
- We were surprised by how quickly it became dark and how this may become an issue for us in continuity. We will combat this issue by shooting all day on Sunday so will be able to film both light and dark scenes as we need.
- We had the issue of not having a car but for our shoot on Wednesday my mum will bring my car so we will be able to use that.
- We will also need to film more close ups and POV shots on our next shoot.
- We have arranged with the whole crew and cast to complete 2 more shoots this week, they will happen on Wednesday and Sunday.
- We will also have spoken to the shopping centre and have use of the car so we will be able to shoot these scenes on Wednesday.
- We will begin the editing of the footage we already have this week as well as filming new footage.
