Group: Audience Feedback

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CV38X9B

RESULTS

  • This question asked about visual effects, we are very eager to use these in our music video.
  • While we have decided we will not be using reverse in our video, the other popular answer was split screen which we think could be very effective to follow the two characters separately.
  • Slow motion and frames within frames were less popular so we don't think we will be using these in our music video.
  • Here is an example of where we thought split screen was an effective visual to connote a relationship:

  • The majority of the people who answered the survey think colour would be a good way of representing emotion in this track, we are definitely going to use colour in this way so this is a positive result.
  • Using colour to show mood in this way will be seen as a visual key to show the male character's mood slowly declining through the video.

  • No candidates stated that lip syncing would be effective for this trick, some said it could occasionally be used but from these results we have decided the target audience will not like this technique and we will not have it in our video.
  • We will use some amplified links between the lyrics and visuals but they will not be lip syncing.

  • These results show our target audience think handicam and steadicam techniques will be effective camera techniques for our video so we will definitely be using both of these.
  • Tracking shots were also a popular choice so we will try and use some of these as well.
  • Panning and Fixed tripod techniques were loess popular but we may have to still fit some of these techniques but they will be less predominant.

  • We will no longer be using flashbacks in our video but we will be using transitions to move from one scene to another so these results are useful in that way.
  • The predominant transitions we will be using will be action match and zoom on and zoom out as these were the most popular results.

  1. Rory - you need to demonstrate excellence in use of ICT. This post should be detailed, well presented - not a link.
